learn • style • want • home
Its clear that I know absolutely nothing about makeup, and it almost saddens me b/c now in my soon to be mid 30s, I am interested in learning. One thing I desperately want to learn to do is to fill in my eyebrows perfectly. As a child they were very thick, but after years of waxing they do look a lot like the young lady's photo pictured above in the before shot. I don't care what anyone says, Meagan's OTK and jeans look is my style. That look is perfect. Ripped jeans, OTK brown suede boots and a boyfriend tee, its like she knows who I am. I seriously want seared ahi tuna, its been awhile. I've never lived in a home with one, but I'd love to buy a house with an entryway. I just want to add stuff to it. I'm not sure it will always look so picture perfect, but I've always felt they really make a home a home.

learn • style • want • home
It's no secret that I long to turn my business into a full-time business and finally be able to (want) work from home. I think about it everyday. A bit of good news for me, a blogger that I've been trying to reach for several months now has finally replied to my email and I get to send her a box for review. Hers is the blog of blogs for these types of reviews so I can't wait, hoping it goes well. What I wouldn't do to be able to wake up in that (home) platform bed with a cup of hot chai tea to read it, here's to goals and cozy dreams.

gemma on your lips
As a newly inducted member of the Football Moms Club, something I just came up with like two seconds ago, I feel that it is my duty to write about proper mom gear. My boy twin has started his first year as a Pop Warner Mighty Mite and I couldn't be happier. Sure I get to spend 8 hours a week at football practice in the sweltering heat, sweating, hungry and thirsty in an open field full of dragon fly's, gnats and ants, but who wouldn't want to sit in a lawn chair fanning themselves profusely as they watch their child tackle, get tackled, hike balls and receive them? It really is better than it sounds, or worse, it just depends on who you ask I guess.

things that you love
I used to sell vintage on Etsy. I've found that working my regular 9 to 5 is not satisfying in the least, so I decided to take action and start my own business. Something I figured out about myself is that I'm a serial business starter. I won't say entrepreneur, I'm not sure I quite qualify just yet, but I will start and stop a business in a minute. And its never because it isn't successful, its just that if I'm not being fulfilled, I will quit. I think the reason for that is because I am already working at a place that doesn't really satisfy me and I have to because ya know, I've got bills. But why choose to do something with your free time that doesn't make you happy? So yeah, these are photos that I had my daughter take of me for my Etsy shop. It's very hard to get rid of things that you love. I wanted to keep all of the vintage that I sold, but I wanted a successful shop even more. I still have the top in the first photo, I don't think I'll ever sell it, even though I've yet to wear it since that photo was taken. Does that make me a hoarder of sorts? Hoarder-ish perhaps? I tend to do that with clothes a lot.

what a steal
My cousin got invited to her classmates wedding and invited me as her plus one. I'm always super excited to see people come together as one and evening weddings are always a plus. My current situation in life doesn't really call for many formal events so I always opt to rent my dresses from Rent the Runway whenever I need something. I rented this Kate Lace V Dress by Nicole Miller, one of my FAVORITE designers, for only $30 for 4 days. What a steal! I just didn't want to have to go out and buy a dress for this wedding and I'd probably never wear it again. Same thing goes for balls or galas, when am I gonna wear this stuff again? The model is wearing emerald green accessories but I opted to go with purple. I just bought Gemma by Stila yesterday and my Gawd I'm in love! I'm going with a black pointy toe pump, I think it just looks classier than my strappy open-toe heeled sandals, plus I don't have to worry about a pedi.

too 1990s
I am almost a little scared to be so in love with block heels. I don't want to buy too many but I just can't help myself. I fear that when they do go out of style, my love for them will fade away as well and then I will be stuck with tons of these types of shoes; yet I continue to buy them. My fiance thinks they are hideous, country and unstylish. Normally I don't really care what he thinks when it comes to my fashion choices, this this would be one of those times. He thinks they are too 1990s and I completely agree, but I don't mind a little 90s vibe, just ask my collection of boyfriend jeans.

1, 2, 3, 4
One of these days I'll get around to posting photos of my outfits. But I don't have a photographer on call and my daughter hates when I ask her to take my photos. Also, I always feel a little silly. I guess you really have to develop an IDGAF attitude when you're out in these streets taking pics for your blog. Is there a pill for that? So maybe this will never happen. I don't know, I like the idea of faceless outfit photos. They are just different, plus I don't have to worry about hair, makeup or the perfect facial expression. I think I'm cute, but I'm not photogenic at all. How does that even work?
